CANON PERSONALITY:

Inanna is an absolutely lovely person. Just ask anyone. Even Lucifer, who's more aware of Inanna's mean streak admitted that streak was just "a tiny dash on a marble of pure loveliness". Being nice seems, at first glance, to be the core of Inanna's personality. And while he is supremely nice, the truth goes much deeper than that.

Before there was Inanna, there was Zahid, a terminally shy boy whose "go-to cosplay was wallpaper", and who had something of an interest in social justice. He was afraid of a lot of things: of his sexuality, of his gender identity, of what both of those things would mean for the future. If not for Ananke's interference, he might have spent his whole life suppressing who he was for the sake of his parents' idea of success. But from the moment he walked into his bedroom to find Ananke sitting on his bed, ready to show him who he really was, that life was gone forever. While to most people, the prospect of only having two years to live would have been terrible, to Inanna, it was permission to be who and what he'd been all along. No future meant no reason to be afraid anymore, and with such limited time, he had every reason to make the most of it.

As befits a love goddess, Inanna's a hedonist of the highest order, and perfectly okay with that. So long as everyone’s enthusiastically consenting and having a good time, Inanna's happy, and he can find a bit of innuendo for just about any situation. Zahid's social justice background has shaped this incarnation of Inanna into someone who values consent above all, and Inanna's the kind of person who asks permission before hugging friends, every single time, unless they request otherwise. (In the 4th Wall event, Inanna's already becoming quietly outraged at the Trumps' blatant disregard for the consent of their abductees. If they were just bringing back the dead, that's one thing, but kidnapping the living is not okay.)

Just because Inanna's nice, that doesn't mean he's nonconfrontational. Baal nearly put him through a wall because he was refusing to go along with the "let Lucifer rot in jail" plan, and he's seen arguing with Woden after a particularly nasty trick was played on a former Valkyrie.

Inanna's greatest weakness is his utter failure to understand monogamy. He doesn’t get jealous, and is in fact happy for the people he loves when they enjoy themselves with someone else. He literally cannot understand why everyone can't just be like him. He broke Baal's heart by not realizing that Baal was operating under the expectation of monogamy, and it's one of his few regrets.

Inanna's starting to grapple with his gender identity, which is distinctly non-binary: he's mentioned that he sees "guy" as a small word when it comes to describing him, but he hasn’t gone so far as to pick a word that would suit better. I see him as genderqueer, personally.

One thing that the comics haven't much covered is that to the Sumerians, Inanna wasn’t just a love goddess -- she was also a goddess of warfare. That's not an aspect this Inanna focuses on a lot, but there have been hints of it, such as when he got into his first fight and found it surprisingly fun. Going on Jaunts will give Inanna more opportunities to explore the darker side of himself, and reconcile it with his more loving nature.

ABILITIES:

Canon is really vague on a lot of these, since they're all just classified as miracles.
- Divination. Inanna can divine for objects in touching range, or people he knows, and it will give him information on where they are, what they are, or if other gods are involved.
- Teleportation. Inanna can turn himself and others with him into starlight, and travel wherever starlight travels, whether that's across town or across the world.
- Starlight projectiles. Inanna can shoot starlight from his fingertips in combat, which can knock people back/hurt them.
- Random special effects. Rain glows purple where it intersects with his... aura... for lack of a better term. Purple/pink sparkles are abundant when powers are happening. (Can I keep the sparkles when using game abilities?)
- Reality warping (clothes). Inanna can magically change his clothes, usually but not excusively when he turns to starlight and back.
- Enhanced stamina, speed, and strength. Only the stamina gets used on a regular basis (usually sexually), and one of the Pantheon powerhouses like Baal could wipe the floor with him, but he's still faster and stronger than a normal human.
- Near invulnerability, when not performing (see below). While it's possible for gods to be hurt, it takes power comparable to another god's... unless that god is performing, during which they're more vulnerable, and can be injured by ordinary humans.
- Inspiration. While not everyone is susceptible to the influence of every god, mortals who are will find Inanna more interesting/special than others, and will want to be around him. When Inanna's singing or otherwise performing, susceptible mortals will be overwhelmed by feelings of love and lust -- passions are aroused. Particularly susceptible people may experience spontaneous orgasms. Effects may linger, leaving them feeling more loving or more comfortable in their sexuality. People immune to Inanna's powers may not feel, or indeed hear anything at all.

That said, not all of you may be familiar with incarnate gods, so let me just say that what we do, what we're here for, is to inspire people. When we perform, we spread the divinity around a little, let you touch something bigger than yourself... and we get to know we're making people feel something amazing.
